AFS and Save the Children partner to introduce Drucker to NZ Schools

AFS Intercultural Programmes is an International, Volunteer based organisation that is part of a worldwide network of people who are committed to creating a more just and peaceful world. AFS New Zealand provides lifelong intercultural opportunities in local and global communities, working to develop the values, skills, and knowledge to foster aroha, manaakitanga and respect.
All that we do is based on our core values of dignity, respect for difference, harmony, sensitivity, and tolerance.
AFS NZ has begun an exciting strategic relationship with Save the Children NZ. The relationship in it's initial phase is concentrating on sharing the Drucker in High Schools project with our considerable network of NZ schools and providing our Returnee Volunteers the chance to share their leadership skills with other young people. We are beginning with a pilot in two Porirua schools. Thursday 24 June 2010, saw us meet with an enthusiastic group of Returnees and Supporters who are keen to co-lead this project, arm in arm with AFS and Save the Children. The group are pictured below.
We look forward to working with Save the Children on this exciting development.
